This summer, two Saders for Life members, Micala Smith '16 and Matthew Laird '15, attended the Catholics on Call annual week long workshop in Chicago. The workshop supports Catholic young adults (ages 18-30) as they strive to discover God’s call in their lives, and explore the possibility of a life of service in the Church.

A national vocation discovery program of the Bernardin Centerat Catholic Theological Union in the Hyde Park area, Catholics on Call is dedicated to helping young adults from diverse backgrounds explore a call to ministry in the Church and to learn about leadership roles as lay ecclesial ministers, men or women religious, or ministry as ordained deacons or priests. Micala and Matt attended the Catholics on Call workshop as part of a ten week summer internship through the holy cross campus ministry office. The first nine weeks of their internship was spent at an assigned ministry site, for Micala, a Catholic hospital in Connecticut, and for Matt, a Catholic parish in Massachusetts.
