Prof. Helen M. Alvaré, J.D.  

 

Helen Alvaré is a Professor of Law at George Mason University School of Law, where she teaches Family Law, Law and Religion, and Property Law.  She publishes on matters concerning marriage, parenting, non-marital households, abortion and the First Amendment religion clauses.  She is faculty advisor to the law school’s Civil Rights Law Journal, chair of the Task Force on Conscience Protection of the Witherspoon Institute (Princeton, New Jersey), president of the Chiaroscuro Institute (New York, New York), chair of the Catholic Women’s Forum, a consultor for the Pontifical Council of the Laity (Vatican City), an advisor to the U.S.

Conference of Catholic Bishops (Washington, D.C.), and an ABC news consultant. 

 

Professor Alvaré received her law degree from Cornell University School of Law and her master’s degree in Systematic Theology from the Catholic University of America. 

Prof. John P. Manoussakis, Ph.D    

 

John Panteleimon Manoussakis is native of Athens, Greece and a graduate of Boston College. He was ordained into the diaconate in 1995 and inot the priesthood in 2011, receiving the distinction of archimandrite.

 

He is an honorary fellow of the faculty of Theology and Philosophy at the Australian Catholic University. 

 

Prof. Manoussakis currently serves as a professor of Philosophy at The College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts, specializing in the Philosophy of Religion, Phenomenology, Ancient Greek Philosophy, and Patristics.

Prof. Lee Oser, Ph.D                               

 

Lee Oser, born in 1958 in New York City, is a Roman Catholic novelist and literary critic. He was educated at Reed College and Yale University, where he received his Ph.D in English in 1995. 

 

He currently serves as a professor of Religion and Literature at The College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massacusetts. 

 

He is the author of two acclaimed novels, Out of What Chaos, published in 2007, and Oracles Fell Silent, published in 2014.
